Privacy

What we store
- Account: your email (only if you give it), company name, the carriers you watch and any notes you add to them, your alert settings and any Slack, Teams or webhook address you enter, the dated vetting records you save, and a hashed version of your private sign-in link.
- Billing: your plan, its status and Stripe's customer and subscription IDs. Stripe handles the card; we never see card numbers.
- Carrier packets: what a carrier enters on a packet link (contact name, title, phone, email, remit-to address, factoring company, insurance details, the typed signature and its time), the W-9 and certificate files it attaches (kept in Cloudflare R2 storage), and the FMCSA email address a confirmation code went to. Only the broker who sent the link can see them. A packet the carrier never sends is deleted 60 days after its link was made. A returned packet, with its files, is deleted 4 years after the carrier sent it, or sooner when the broker deletes it.
- Pay-to records: who a broker pays for each carrier, as the carrier entered it on a packet link: bank name, routing number and the last 4 digits of the account, or the factoring company's name and remittance contact, with who confirmed it and when. The full account number is never stored; we keep only a keyed fingerprint of it, so a broker can check a number against it. Only that broker can see them. They are kept until the broker deletes all its packets or its account.
- Help requests: the email address and message you send from the help page.
- Usage limits: a daily count of lookups and of chat assistant messages per visitor, stored under a one-way hash of the network address that changes every day, so it can't be linked across days. This also applies to the AI assistant connection (MCP), which needs no account and stores nothing else about the caller.
- Chat assistant: what you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic to write the answer, together with the FMCSA records and help-page text the assistant looks up for it. We do not store the chat text; only the daily message count above is kept.
- Visit totals: daily counts of visits, lookups and sign-ups, with the site or link that sent the visit. Nothing in those totals identifies anyone.
Why
Only to run the service: watch the carriers you chose, send the alerts you asked for, bill you if you pay, answer your help requests, and stop abuse with the daily limits. We use no advertising trackers and sell no data.
Who receives it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database, so it handles every request.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) receives the messages you type in the chat assistant, with the last few messages of that chat, to write the answer.
- Resend (resend.com) delivers our emails, including packet confirmation codes, and receives the address and the message.
- Slack, Microsoft Teams or a webhook address you enter receive your alerts.
- When you check a contact, the email's domain name (only the part after @) goes to that domain's public registry (RDAP) to read its registration date.
How long we keep it
Account data, saved records and help requests: until you ask us to delete them. Daily lookup and chat message counts: deleted after 7 days. Chat text: not stored by us. Sign-in links: they expire after use or within 72 hours. Visit totals: kept, since they contain nothing personal. Stripe keeps payment records under its own policy.
Your controls
On your watchlist page you can remove carriers, change or remove your email and alert channels, make a new private link (the old one stops working) and cancel or change a paid plan. To delete your account and everything stored with it, send a request from the help page.
Carrier data
Carrier pages show public records published by FMCSA. Carriers' contact details are shown only to signed-in users and are never returned to AI assistants. If you are a carrier and your FMCSA record is wrong, it has to be corrected with FMCSA; we follow their data the next day.
Contact. bryan@tryneverclosed.com, or the help page. We reply within one business day.
